The dollar rose on Friday to a three-week high against a basket of currencies after an eventful week in the global economy.
The dollar was up 0.1 percent at 87.89 yen.
The strong performance came after the Fed said on Thursday that it expects the economy to grow by a stronger 3.5 percent this year.
The U.S. dollar index, which measures the greenback against a range of currencies, rose 0.3 percent to 98.26 yen, its highest level since November.
The U.K. dollar has risen against other currencies, most notably the Swiss franc, since the election of Donald Trump as president in November.
