The Dow Jones industrial average has fallen to a record low on Monday after a record-low closing high on Friday.
The S&P 500 lost 2.7% to 2,865.65 and the Nasdaq Composite shed 2.1% to 4,845.15.
The benchmark index fell to a new low of 2,735.23 on the day as it plunged more than 50 points from its record high of 2.869.50 on March 6.
The index fell more than 3% from its May record high set on May 5.
The market is off its best week since early November, when it hit a record high before the election.
In the past two weeks, the Dow Jones has gained 2.6% while the S&s has gained 7.5%.
